I’m runnin’ around the sun, fast as I can go 20 years passes in a blink. I’m runnin’ the sun, how many can I know? It’s quality not quantity I think… Had my head, bank, and heart broke more than enough What didn’t kill me, made me tender/tough. My Spirit has survived to the other side past suicidal plans and blame onto forgiveness from shame… CHORUS But, You gotta learn to write your woundings in sand and your Blessings in stone. Man, just from where I stand, that’s all you need to know. You gotta learn to write your woundings in sand and your Blessings in stone. As you’re runnin’ around the sun you get to meet everyone who’s ready to turn a page. If you can turn the cheek, you can turn the world. This planets too small for rage. You gotta hear what I say. CHORUS For all that we need is here and all that we need to do is shed this fear… I wanna be the “Hundredth Monkey” to change the world to get the grip,…to get the girl. Don’t you wannna be the Planet that get’s the hit? This is it! Take care of it. O Brothers get over it. CHORUS

This Moment 05:53
I’m good to go back to the Garden. All I wanna know is… will you come with me? The past has been rough with our hearts so broken. It could be enough just to celebrate with you! Chorus What can I do, to make your life better than it ever was before I came through? What can I do, to help you understand still the very best is yet to come? What can I do, to make your life better than it ever was before I came to, this moment with you? My Love waits. It’s here for you. What does it take, just to let the mystery through? Chorus
3.
It’s coming’ up from the root, and down from heaven, from a black hole in the center of space. Pick up the pen, move the mouse, share your car, share your house! It’s the Evolution of Revolution in your mind. It’s the Evolution of Revolution this time! It’s the Evolution of Revolution Whatcha got to say? (right across your bow) It’s the Evolution of Revolution here today…here today (here now) Change comes slow’ but it happens fast, like a fire in the grass. The shift is under way, it should be here Tuesday. It couldn’t come soon enough! Chorus It’s the evolution, of consciousness… step up to the new view. We’re changing the way we see. we’re changing our destiny… not a minute too soon. Chorus
4.
O Angel, who watches over me never need I ask of you. Simply always, and ever there, somehow to pull me through. How I’d almost lost it, many a time, coming through the dark. Till a tap on the shoulder, or a voice in my ear and Angel is there. Harken the herald angels together ye mortals here on earth would like to say that we’re on our way stumbling through our birth (stumbling to prove our worth) O Angel, who watches over me stay close up the road ahead. Not doing as well as usual, yet I’m not quite ready for dead. For I get a feeling’ I’m soon to be born again from inside this same old body. For theres work to do, and things I don’t yet understand that I’ve got to get through. CHORUS And here in this world and this incarnation man seeks to find grace in the dance of daily livin’ balance and poise of mind. Indebted to you our Angels and to the unseen keepers of this plane. We, we can never rest, until unto angel hood, we’re ordained. CHORUS

Sparrows 06:30
Sparrows know, when it’s time for them to go Winds blow, seasons change, and they know Chorus But you and me, is it so hard to see that you and me, must change (we’ve got to change) Leaves fall, under snow they’ll soon lie sleeping They all, have died for roots a feeding Chorus Changing leaves, changing seasons Changing weaves, changing reasons Changing change, for the ride,…for the ride inside Water knows, where it flows, it will go Water shows a way in which to go Chorus Sparrows know, when it’s time for them to go Winds blow, seasons change, and they know…and they know,… and they know………

White Water 05:27
I am a crude stone on my path. I fell from down yonder valley deep. I have been living all my life… to tumble in to the sea. Chorus So I am here upon this river tumble me through the rapids (the changes) (with the froth and the fray) White Water …White Water… I’ll be a smooth stone in good time, on my journey around to find, that I have been living all my life… to tumble in to the sea. Chorus When you see me wash up upon that shore, new will I come back for more. For I have been dying, all my life… to tumble in to the sea. Chorus …till White Water brings me home, to stay.

about

01/01/2021
...is the triumphant celebration of the long awaited New Year! And, the long awaited newly released musical adventure by Michael Oakland.
“White Water” pays tribute in deep soul reflection and celebration, in action of what we have all just come through in the past few years, and where we might be going collectively.

Eight original compositions, in an hour's new music (or: "in just under an hour's new music"), that stylistically nod to the sentiments of Van Morrison, Steely Dan, Brazilian Jazz, and true contemporary adult listening. Content for thinkers who dance.

A hopeful charge towards the future, to make it what we want it to be. And there certainly couldn’t be a better time for this, than now.

White Water
...the tumult of being, and becoming smoother,
rounder perhaps and more forgiving.
The dynamism of all the clash of elements creating us.
The froth and the fray...
to the big wide peace someday.
Cherish the every phase of becoming,
and embrace the universal grind
to turn us all to sand so fine.
